...what do we do...

We have to realize that sin is a fact, not a defect. Yes, in original creation, it is a defect that we choose. But in our reality now, it is a fact, and it makes all things wild. (Chambers). We must reconcile ourselves to this fact and stop trying to be the controlling perfectionists who become God. I am not saying we should not humbly pursue righteousness and repent of our sin in hopes to "be perfect as our heavenly Father is perfect," (Matthew 5:48). but we must not attempt at this life that strives for and obsesses with righteous, pharisaical perfection to the point that we forget that we will ONLY be saved by grace through faith and NOTHING else. When we enter the rat race that forsakes this is when we quench the Spirit, squelch the Gospel, and essentially become antichrists who hide the Words of Life under a bushel.

Sin has made all things wild, not rational, (Chambers). If we forget that truth, we will go mad seeking control and eventually grow to resent God, that is the "god" we've created in our minds.... and we will forego the opportunity to know Him, the True God, in the reckless and unsafe yet GOOD way He has intended for us to know Him.

With that said, we still must how wrestle with and fight against sin in our reality and NOT become apathetic to it. We must hate it passionately and love Christ passionately yet recognize that it is not within our might EVER to conquer sin. CHRIST has all ready conquered sin for us. Our realization of this is what we seek and will only attain at the final lap of our santification and assumption of our glorification. With THIS I will grapple today and fumble, as a woman of sorrows....like He a man of sorrows, acquainted with grief, (Isaiah 53:3). Lord be merciful to me, and may You also help to grant me that I may show grace to myself and others.... amen.
